You're in control of your account. You can delete it at any time, and this page explains exactly how, and what happens to your data when you do.
Delete your account in the app
The quickest way is right inside SwapiClub:
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to your profile and open Edit Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm by typing DELETE when prompted.
Your account is then permanently deleted and you're signed out. This can't be undone.
Prefer us to do it for you?
If you can't access the app for any reason, email support@swapiclub.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We'll verify it's you and delete your account for you.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we remove your personal data, including:
- Your profile (name, email, photo, and other profile details).
- Your listings.
- Your watchlist and notification settings.
- Your sign-in account.
What is kept, and why
A few things are handled differently so that other people and the law are respected:
- Shared records — a chat or completed swap that involves another person is kept, but anonymised. Your name and photo are removed so the other person keeps their own history without your identity attached.
- Records we're required to keep — some information, such as payment records and abuse reports, may be retained where the law requires it or to keep the community safe. These are kept only for as long as needed.
Just need a break?
If you don't want to lose your account permanently, you can simply log out instead of deleting. Deletion is permanent and can't be reversed.
