Your privacy matters. This policy explains what SwapiClub collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We keep things practical and we avoid sharing personal details with other users.

1. What we collect

SwapiClub may collect the following types of information:

Account info: email address, display name, and basic profile details you choose to add.
Listings and activity: items you list, offers you send or receive, watchlist, and chat messages.
Device and app info: app version, crash logs, and basic technical diagnostics to fix bugs.
Approximate location data, if enabled: used to calculate distance labels, not to expose your exact address.

2. Location privacy: we blur it

SwapiClub does not show your exact address or live GPS coordinates to other users. Instead, we show distance labels like "Very close" or "In your area."

Other users only see blurred distance labels, not your exact location.
You can edit your area or city manually and you can disable location permissions in your phone settings.

3. Why we collect data

To create and manage your account.
To show your listings and allow offers.
To help prevent spam, fraud, and abusive behaviour.
To improve the app and fix errors.
To provide features like search, recommendations, and notifications.

4. What we share, and what we don't

We do not sell your personal data. We also do not share your exact location with other users.

We may share limited information with trusted services that help run the app, such as hosting, storage, analytics, and email verification, but only what is needed to provide the service.

5. Chats and messages

Chats exist so you can agree on a deal. Please avoid sharing sensitive information such as passwords, one-time PINs, full banking details, or identity numbers. Messages may be stored to deliver the chat feature, prevent abuse, and enforce rules when needed.

6. Reports and moderation

When someone reports your listing or account, we use that information to investigate and apply the rules in our User Agreement. We don't tell you who reported you, but we do use the data to make decisions about hiding listings or blocking accounts.

7. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as needed to run the service and meet safety requirements. If you stop using the app, some records may remain for a reasonable time to prevent abuse and keep transaction history consistent. Blocked or banned accounts may have their data retained longer to prevent the same person from creating new accounts.

8. Security

We use common security practices such as access controls, encryption where available, and restricted database rules. No system is perfect, but we actively work to protect your information.

9. Your choices

You can update your profile details at any time.
You can edit your area and city fields whenever you like.
You can disable location permissions in your phone settings.
You can choose what you share in listings and chat. Keep it safe.
