Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what SwapiClub collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We keep things practical and we avoid sharing personal details with other users.

SwapiClub does not show your exact address or live GPS coordinates to other users. Instead, we show distance labels like "Very close" or "In your area."

We do not sell your personal data. We also do not share your exact location with other users.

We may share limited information with trusted services that help run the app, such as hosting, storage, analytics, and email verification, but only what is needed to provide the service.

5. Chats and messages

Chats exist so you can agree on a deal. Please avoid sharing sensitive information such as passwords, one-time PINs, full banking details, or identity numbers. Messages may be stored to deliver the chat feature, prevent abuse, and enforce rules when needed.

6. Blocking other users

If another swapper is bothering you, you can block them. When you block someone, you won't see their listings, and they won't be able to message you or make offers on your items. You can unblock them anytime. Blocking is there to help you feel safe and in control.

7. Reports and moderation

When someone reports your listing or account, we use that information to investigate and apply the rules in our User Agreement. We don't tell you who reported you, but we do use the data to make decisions about hiding listings or blocking accounts.

8. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as needed to run the service and meet safety requirements. If you stop using the app, some records may remain for a reasonable time to prevent abuse and keep transaction history consistent. Blocked or banned accounts may have their data retained longer to prevent the same person from creating new accounts.

We use common security practices such as access controls, encryption where available, and restricted database rules. No system is perfect, but we actively work to protect your information.

11. Deleting your account and your data

You're in control of your account. You can delete it at any time from your profile settings — open Edit Profile and choose "Delete my account." This removes your personal data, including your profile, your listings, your watchlist, and your notification settings.

Some shared records, like a chat or completed swap involving another person, are kept but anonymised — your name and photo are removed so the other person keeps their own history. Some records may also be retained where the law requires it or to keep the community safe, such as payment records and abuse reports, and only for as long as needed.

You can also ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it. For those requests, email support@swapiclub.com or use Contact us in the app, so we can confirm it's really you making the request.
